The Friday 56

The Friday 56 is a weekly meme, hosted by Freda's Voice. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

*Grab a book, any book.
*Turn to page 56.
*Find any sentence that grabs you.
*Post it.
*Link here.

My current read:

Blood Bound by Rachel Vincent

"Well, Anne must have gotten ahold of it somehow, if she burned it."
My hand clenched around the bloody material.  I hadn't thought of that.
